Braces and Aligners

Braces are made of metal or porcelain and are attached to your teeth. Metal wires and rubber bands are used to provide a force that helps the teeth move into the correct position. Aligners are made of plastic and are molded to fit your teeth. Each aligner gradually moves the teeth into their final position. Composite resin is attached to the various teeth to hold the aligner teeth so they can move properly.
